On now at the Four Season Centre is Nixon in China. The opera by John Adam's is based on the historic visit by President Nixon, to China, during his ill-fated presidency. But, perhaps more important than Nixon's resignation were the 5 days the President spent in China. Nixon's China visit is often viewed as the crowning achievement for his administration. Adam's opera combines the public spectacle, the historic weight and quiet reflections of one of the most important events in modern diplomacy.
