Many people associate clowns with water squirting, red-nosed, drivers of small circus cars, but in reality clowning dates back to the court jester days in ancient Egypt, Rome and the powerhouses of Europe. A true art form, clowning inspired some of the greatest comedians of all times, including Lucille Ball, the Three Stooges and Charlie Chaplin. The festival is sure to present a range of clowning styles, from the traditional to the experimental. This should be a great, family friendly event.
