Preview: The Dinner

Upstage Productions and pivotal(arts)' production of The Dinner opens this week at the St. Vladimir Institute. The Dinner is written and directed by Jason Murray. The show runs Wednesday the 19th until Saturday the 29th, with various week day dates. The show is $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

Eight friends come together for Thanksgiving Dinner. Of the eight, four have known one another since high school, and like many reunions this one is fraught with old tensions, heart ache and even hatred. As the night unfolds the "thanks giving" gives way to emotional devastation and conflict.

Featuring eight, local, emerging talents, The Dinner, will bring a new perspective on old relationships, friendships in general, and all nature of human relationships. Be sure to click the link for more information. And click here to purchase tickets.

The Dinner: CONTEST!

The Dinner is written by Jason Murray and is the story of eight friends coming together for Thanksgiving. Of the friends, four have known one another since high school. During the dinner some deep-rooted tensions spring forth. Some awkward conversations ensue as the group explore themes of love and hate. With the emotional devastation that takes place the guests leave with very little to feel thankful for. A thought provoking look at love and loss, The Dinner, will force the audience to think deeply about the people in our lives, our past and the future.
